Conversion of existing classroom-based courses to virtual.

When BSC's Management Development Program ❨MDP❩ became required in 2017, thousands of managers needed to complete the five courses which made up the program. This would not have been possible, given the timeframe, relying solely on our classroom-based courses.

I was tasked with helping our item owners to convert their classroom courses to effective and engaging virtual courses, hosted in Connect Pro. I then created materials to support both facilitators and producers in delivery of the courses.

Consulting others on using Connect Pro.

While at BSC, I was able to consult with both internal and external teams on the use of Connect Pro. These have included their Sales meetings, GBS Management Forum, and their quarterly HR COE Call. Enabling these teams to host their training/calls virtually has enabled them to expand their audience at a considerable cost savings.

I partnered with my manager at the time to create two virtual courses for the new Connect Pro user, Connect Pro 101 and Producer 101. We held several sessions to teach L&D managers what is possible with this tool, as well as certifying future instructors and producers to deliver BSC virtual courses.

Facilitation/Producing

I have also had the opportunity to facilitate and producer several of our virtual courses. I have co-facilitated our IDP Workshop for Individual Contributors course with my manager over the course of several years. I produced our Know the Law course for three years. After that, I have focused on training their vendor, Virtual Crown Productions, to deliver several of their virtual courses.
